GFZ2 Isostatic Powder Press for Tableware
Our isostatic powder press GFZ2 is used for the efficient forming of flatware, bowls and ovenware made of ceramic granules (e.g. porcelain, hard-paste porcelain, stoneware and bone china).
Closing force and installation space of the press have been optimized for the production of large flat tableware, bowls and ovenware with our DORST tool system being suited to a wide variety of article shapes. The geometry of the article as well as reliefs, inscriptions and logos will be reproduced in a very precise way.
The vertical pressing cylinder of the GFZ2 operates two pressing tools that move into the pressing cylinder in alternating sequence. Filling of the tools takes place outside the pressing cylinder with the tools being able to be positioned vertically for that purpose. The pressing cylinder closes off the two tool halves while the granules are being compacted isostatically. After the pressing process, a fettling robot takes the article out of the lower punch of the tool in horizontal position.
